Fees & Deposits

Configure automatic gratuity, deposit requirements, and overtime fees. These fees are calculated and displayed transparently at checkout.

Auto-Gratuity

Automatically add a gratuity percentage to bookings. Common for salons, spas, and service businesses where tipping is customary.

Percentage-Based

Add a percentage (typically 15-20%) to the service total.

Example: $100 service + 18% = $118

Configurable

Set different rates for different service types or team members.

Example: 20% for stylists, 15% for assistants

Setting Up Auto-Gratuity

Navigate to Settings

Go to Settings → Booking Settings → Gratuity.

Enable Auto-Gratuity

Toggle on “Include automatic gratuity” and set your default percentage.

Write custom text explaining your gratuity policy (shown at checkout).

Deposit Requirements

Require customers to pay a deposit when booking. Deposits reduce no-shows and protect against last-minute cancellations.

Deposit Scope Options

Overtime Fees

Automatically charge customers who exceed their booked time. Particularly useful for hourly services like spa rooms, rentals, or sessions.

Grace Period

Free buffer time before overtime kicks in (e.g., 5-10 minutes).

Rate

Per-minute, per-15-min, or per-hour overtime rate.

Maximum Cap

Optional cap to limit maximum overtime charge.

Customize the policy text customers see when fees apply:
