Pricing Rules
Create dynamic pricing that automatically adjusts based on day-part, day of week, and location. Perfect for peak pricing, happy hour discounts, and location-specific rates.
What Are Pricing Rules?
Pricing rules let you automatically adjust service prices based on when and where customers book. Instead of manually changing prices, set up rules once and let the system handle the rest.
Day-Part Rules
Different prices for morning, afternoon, evening, and late-night slots.
Day-of-Week Rules
Weekday vs weekend pricing, or specific rates for each day.
Location Rules
Different rates for each business location (multi-location accounts).
Creating Pricing Rules
Navigate to Settings → Pricing Rules to manage your pricing rules.
Name Your Rule
Give it a descriptive name like “Weekend Peak Pricing” or “Happy Hour Discount”.
Set the Conditions
Choose which days, times, and/or locations this rule applies to.
Define the Adjustment
Set a percentage modifier (e.g., +20% for peak, -15% for discount) or a fixed amount.
Set Priority
If multiple rules could apply, higher priority rules take precedence.
Day-Part Pricing Examples
| Day-Part | Time Range | Typical Adjustment | Use Case |
|---|---|---|---|
Morning | 6am - 12pm | -10% to base | Early bird discount |
Afternoon | 12pm - 5pm | Base price | Standard rates |
Evening | 5pm - 9pm | +20% peak | Prime time pricing |
Late Night | 9pm - 12am | +30% premium | Extended hours premium |
Preview Grid
The pricing rules admin includes a preview matrix showing how your rules will affect prices across different days and times. This helps you verify your setup before going live.
Rule Precedence & Overlap
When multiple rules could apply to the same booking, the system uses these precedence rules:
Priority Number
Rules with higher priority (lower number) take precedence.
Specificity
More specific rules (e.g., “Saturday 6pm-9pm”) override general rules (e.g., “Weekends”).
Most Recent
If priority and specificity are equal, the most recently created rule wins.
Overlap Warnings
The admin interface will warn you when rules overlap. Review warnings carefully to ensure customers see the prices you intend.
Common Pricing Strategies
Peak Hour Pricing
Charge more during your busiest hours to maximize revenue and encourage off-peak bookings.
Happy Hour Discount
Offer discounts during slow periods to fill empty slots and attract price-sensitive customers.
Weekend Premium
Higher weekend rates when demand is highest and customers expect premium pricing.
Early Bird Special
Reward early risers with discounted rates during traditionally slow morning hours.
