What Are Custom Attributes?
Custom attributes are fields you define to capture information specific to your business. Unlike standard fields (name, email, phone), custom attributes let you track anything.

Creating Attributes
1. Define the Attribute
Go to Settings → Custom Attributes. Click "Add Attribute" and enter:
- - Name: What the field is called (e.g., "Skin Type")
- - Type: Text, Number, Date, Boolean, or Select
- - Options: For Select type, define the available choices
- - Visibility: Who can see and edit this field
2. Set Values on Customers
Values can be set in three ways:
- - Manual: Edit directly on the customer profile
- - AI-captured: Bizy extracts information from conversations
- - Import: Bulk import via CSV with attribute columns
3. Edit Inline
Click any attribute value on a customer profile to edit it inline. Changes are saved automatically.
Filtering & Segmentation
Custom attributes integrate with the segment builder for powerful filtering.
Filter by value - Find all customers where "Skin Type" equals "Oily"
Numeric comparisons - Find customers where "Preferred Pressure" is greater than 5
Date ranges - Find customers where "Last Color Service" was more than 6 weeks ago
Has/missing value - Find customers who don't have a "Hair Formula" recorded yet
