About Orlea
Built to help you close tabs without losing what mattered.
What is Orlea?
Orlea is a local-first macOS app for saving links, notes, screenshots, files, and random finds in one calm place. It’s for anyone who keeps too many tabs open because they might need something later.
It’s not a task manager or a team workflow tool. It’s a place to put the thing now, close the tab, and trust that it will still be there when you come back.
How it works
- Save it now. Paste a URL, type a note, or drop a file in before it gets lost.
- Close the tab. Orlea gives you a place to put it so your browser stops becoming a to-do list.
- Come back later. Boards, previews, and notes make saved things easier to revisit when you actually need them.
Yours-First
We call it Yours-First. Your data lives on your machine, works without an internet connection, and survives even if Orlea the company disappears tomorrow. It’s a SQLite database sitting in a folder you control.
Orlea Cloud is optional — automatic backup and sync across devices for $5/mo. The app is free because it runs on your hardware. Cloud costs money because servers do. Not because we’re gating features.
Why it exists
Too many of the things worth keeping live in tabs you don’t want to close yet. Articles, products, places, docs, screenshots, things to read later, things to compare later, things to maybe do later. The tab bar becomes a pile of delayed decisions.
Orlea started as a way to clear that pile without pretending everything needed a project or a perfect system. Just save it somewhere calm, close the tab, and trust you can find it again.
Close the tab. It’s safe here.
